This is the start of a really Super Week! I must admit that, since Saturday evening, it has been one super surprise after another around Chateau de Budroe.
I have a friend staying with me at the moment, while his new home is being prepared. Just as he was preparing to move, a friend of his showed up, with nowhere else to go. It’s a party!
Super Bowl Sunday was a most (Sorry!) pleasant surprise. We actually had a fiercely contested match-up between titans. It was a block-buster presentation, with a last-moment victory by the team I was actually rooting for. There are so many reasons for me not to root for the Giants, yet I could not help my native instinct to cheer on the underdog.
It also makes for a really cool asterisk in the record books. Back-to-back victories by brothers at QB, in different leagues, on different teams, in successive years (just for starters!). Now, how cool is that? And, it was a really great game to watch. I’ll be back in my AFC fanatic mode for next year, but if Peyton couldn’t get there….:-)
Tomorrow is the Primary in Illinois. I am going to vote. Would you believe that, as of this moment, I have not yet chosen the candidate I will endorse? When you have the diversity, the pendulum of positions, and the critically important issues to face, these primaries are every bit as important to the citizens of America as the General Election in November. Besides, you get to vote twice! And, each vote (legally) counts!
I have a good friend who says she will not vote in the Primary, because she doesn’t want to be “forced” to affiliate with a party! I understand her view. I would say she is most likely a Libertarian. Who among us would choose to invalidate their own vote? Nevertheless, I personally hold that this primary cycle is so very critically important to the American people that measures must be taken to have our collective voice heard. VOTE!
More later. I’ve got to look at a list, and make a decision. (Subject to revision, on Wednesday, of course!)
In His Care,
Budroe
